With windows looking out onto your private garden and patio area, the view is delightful. Guests at The Charatons have full use of our lovely wrap-around garden, Patio, BBQ area and outside seating. The Charatons underwent full refurbishment in 2022 and has been completed to a high standard. This delightful property boasts its very own indoor spa suite with a large swim jacuzzi, heated ceramic sun loungers and sauna. The bifold doors open out onto the Patio and seating area, so even in inclement weather, you can fully enjoy what the spa has to offer. The Charatons is ideal for visitors looking for comfort and relaxation close to nature. Our location is ideal for walkers, cyclists, horse rider/drivers and anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while.

When you enter the property through the double doors into the light and airy lounge area, you will find comfortable leather sofas with plumped up cushions and throws, a large TV with Freeview, Netflix and Wi-Fi, board games and books for some light entertainment. Here you will also find a king-size fully powered bed with memory-foam mattresses (which can also present as two singles for twin sleeping arrangements). Off of the main room is a modern bathroom complete with spacious walk in shower. Walk on through to the snug that is fitted with memory foam small double bunk beds which can comfortably accommodate adults. The kitchen is fully equipped with an electric 4 ring hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine, dish washer, fridge, freezer, toaster and kettle, together with crockery, cutlery, and glassware, as well as all the other bits and bobs that will make your stay a home from home experience

For anyone wishing to bring their horse on holiday with them, we can offer you your own designated area right outside your window. We have a large fully rubber matted field shelter, minimal grass track (for any Metabolic/laminitis prone equines) plus paddock grazing and a 20m sand round pen. There is a lockable storage area for all your belongings and free parking for your lorry/trailer. Bodmin Moor is a quiet ride up the lane approximately 5 mins (depending on your pace). Escorted hacks can be arranged, please enquire and book in advance of your stay. Local beach rides are roughly 30 mins by lorry/trailer. There is a wonderful Cross Country and show jumping course to hire just up the lane that often hold training clinics and shows.

Our prices are as follows.
£150 per day
minimum stay 2 nights
(up to 4 people)
£1000 per week
(up to 4 people)
Horses and ponies are charged at £10 per day plus meadow hay and Equinola bedding.

Cancellations
A deposit of 25% of the total holiday fee is payable if your booking is made more than 6 weeks in advance. The balance is due 6 weeks before the start of your holiday date. For bookings less than 6 weeks before your start date, the full amount is due immediately. Payment can be made by contacting us directly and paying through bank transfer. A £250 damages holding deposit is payable at time of booking. This will be refunded accordingly within 24hrs of your departure.

You should notify us of any cancellation immediately by email. We will do our best to re-let the property, in which case you will be reimbursed, less an administration fee of £50. If we are unable to re-let your original booking, you will remain liable for the full amount. We strongly recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover such cancellation.

Your accommodation will be available to you from 3.00pm on the day of arrival, unless otherwise arranged. We may not be able to accommodate you if you arrive earlier than the agreed
time as we will be busy preparing your accommodation. Please leave the accommodation by 10.00am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged.

We would only cancel your holiday if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would however attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the holiday. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund.

Please be considerate when staying in our property and notify us of any losses or damages. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages, which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. You are expected to take good care of the property and leave it in the same condition as you found it on arrival.
We reserve the right to make a charge for extra cleaning if left in an unacceptable condition.

We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions. Pensilva Track Livery and our own private gardens are out of bounds to guests and their children.

Complaints
If you experience any problems or have a complaint, please do contact us immediately so we can do our very best to rectify it while you are here on holiday. If it is necessary to access the property during your stay in order to deal with essential maintenance or repair, we reserve the right to do so.

We are a NO smoking establishment here at The Charatons.
Booking Numbers
The number in your party must not exceed the maximum number stipulated in the property description.
Linen & Towels
We provide all bed linen and throws.
Towels are provided for use within The Charatons, separate spa towels are also provided.
Electric Vehicle Charging
We do not have a EV charging point, nor do we have a power socket either indoors or outdoors suitably rated or certified safe for EV charging. The nearest EV charging point is in Callington.
